DJ Shadow的不可思議專輯Endtroducing

這個文章的抬頭看來有些聳動,有點誇張,但是如果你耐心的將下面的介紹看完之後,你就會明白為何我會用不可思議的字眼來形容這張專輯及DJ Shadow對於音樂的品味是多麼的不可思議 !!!!!

首先這張專輯有多好聽我就不想再去多做形容了.因為再怎麼形容的天花亂墜還不如各位親自感受來的真實,我只能告訴各位這張專輯給我的感覺可以從兩個角度去切入,第一,就以音樂聆聽角度而言,聽完這張專輯絕對夠精采.第二個層面就是我個人對於DJ Shadow音樂收藏品味的崇拜了,怎麼會說是收藏品味呢 ? 因為DJ Shadow是一個不折不扣的Record Collector(唱片收藏家),從這張專輯的照片就可以發現他經常在黑膠店裡Digging(挖掘)一些不為人知的黑膠唱片作為他的音樂創作素材,這張Endtroducing專輯就是用他所收藏的唱片裡Sample(取樣)後Cut & Paste(拼貼)成的,整張專輯沒有任何真人演奏的樂器或是真人演唱,完全是Sample後再Cut & Paste起來的,整張專輯總共取樣了88張唱片,這是多麼的不可思議,他所取樣的音樂類型實在太廣泛了,從早期60,70年代的Jazz, Soul, Funk到近代的重金屬,另類音樂到電影對白等,別急別急,我還沒說完呢,下面我會將DJ Shadow這張Endtroducing專輯裡所Sample過的Original(原曲)放給你聽,你會覺得更不可思議,怎麼就這樣Sample歌曲中的其中一個段落居然能拼貼出一張專輯,其實Sample就跟Scratch的道理一樣,Scratch大師DJ Q-Bert說過,每個Scratch技巧就像是一句話,你學的技巧越多你可以表達的就越多,而Sample也是,當你所Digging的唱片越多,你可以表達的就越多,所以各位, Keep Vinyl Oishi And Don't Stop Digging !!
